In schooling years, Andrew L Barbera was educated at Walkerville Primary School, Blackfriars Priory School, and Saint Peter's College. He enjoyed aspects of school life such as most subjects, woodwork and arts, music, and sports like swimming (attaining a lifesaver qualification), soccer, bike-riding, cricket, athletics, and watching footy and F1 grand-prix.
After graduating as a Dentist at the University of Adelaide in 2001, Dr Andrew L Barbera spent several years in private dental practice at Broken Hill and Cobar, NSW. He returned to Adelaide in 2005 and obtained first class honours for the Bachelor of Science in Dentistry (Hons). Dr Andrew went on to train as a Specialist Orthodontist, qualifying in 2008. Following that, he qualified for the Membership in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and for the Membership of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
Dr Andrew is a full time clinical orthodontist, working as the private Practice Principal of North Adelaide Orthodontics, and as a Senior Visiting Specialist in the public Orthodontic Unit, Adelaide Dental Hospital. Dr Andrew enjoys working with people of all ages from children to teens to adults, believing everyone should have the opportunity of a great smile and good bite. He co-ordinates orthodontic treatment well with each patient's general Dentist and is very thorough in his approach to treatment diagnosis, planning, and techniques.
