Dr Duncan graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1976 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, and then continued his education at the University of Manitoba, Canada, obtaining his Master of Science in1982. During this period his research focused on triggers for cellular activity during orthodontic tooth movement.

Dr Duncan commenced in specialist orthodontic private practice in Sydney from 1983 to 1990, before returning to Adelaide in 1990 to establish his current practice.

A strong interest in research and education has seen Dr Duncan hold both teaching and administrative positions. He has been a long term Board member of the South Australian Foundation for Dental Education and Research (SAFDER), the philanthropic fund raising arm of the University Of Adelaide School Of Dentistry. He held the position of SAFDER President from 2007-2012. He is a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy of Dentistry, inaugural President of the Australasian Orthodontic Study Group, and inaugural co-chairman of the Adelaide Seattle Study Club, all of which are organisations dedicated to improving the quality of dental care through education.

Dr Duncan is a member of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons. He is the co-founder and clinical adviser to The Invisible Orthodontist, an international group of orthodontists who focus on invisible orthodontic solutions, predominately directed towards the Invisalign appliance.

Dr Duncan was involved in the initial stages of the introduction of the Invisalign orthodontic system, treating his first patient in year 2000. He is one of the international panel of Invisalign educators, regularly presenting in Australia, New Zealand and parts of South East Asia. He is also a clinical tutor teaching Invisalign within the University of Adelaide Graduate Orthodontic programme.

Married to wife Margaret, they have 4 children who are building careers encompassing degrees in mathematics, law, commerce, and dentistry. His daughter, Laura, has completed studying orthodontics in Manitoba, and is now working in her own practice in London.

Seerone is a Registered Orthodontic Specialist with the Dental Board of Australia and has achieved Australasian Orthodontic Board (AOB) Certification. He holds professional memberships in several organisations, including The Australian Dental Association, The Australian Society of Orthodontists, Australian Orthodontic board, The American Association of Orthodontists, The Australian Orthodontic Begg Society, The Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons.  

Dr Seerone Anandarajah moved to Adelaide from Brisbane in 2004 to pursue a career in dentistry and has since used his qualifications and experience to compliment his passion to improve the smiles of his patients. Seerone achieved honours in Bachelor of Science in Dentistry and was awarded with a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in 2015, with his post-graduate research presented both nationally and internationally, as well as published in various international orthodontic journals.
Seerone mentors undergraduate students in the area of Orthodontics at the University of Adelaide.

He also enjoys keeping up to date with the latest techniques and innovations in orthodontics, and prides himself in not only being able to provide high quality treatment to his patients, but also making the journey to a wonderful smile as enjoyable as possible.

When not creating beautiful smiles at the Straight Smile Centre, Seerone enjoys spending time with his wife, family and friends. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys watching the Adelaide Crows. His cooking skills are questionable, but he still tries anyway.
